7-Day Meditation Retreat at Pai
15 – 21 August 2019
19 – 25 November 2019
Welcome to Pai
We live in a hectic and fast-paced world. We tend to external circumstances daily, but often forget to make time to nurture our “inner world.” In this 7-Day meditation retreat in blissful Pai International Meditation Center, you’ll have an opportunity to cultivate inner peace, develop new habits, and gain deeper insight into yourself. You will be introduced to an ancient 2,500-year-old Buddhist meditation technique called “The Middle Way.” Give yourself this gift to nourish your spirit in a beautiful and serene environment surrounded by nature.
About Pai Meditation Center
Pai is a picturesque town located in the Mae Hong Son Province in Northern Thailand. It lies in a beautiful valley alongside the banks of the Pai River. At Pai International Meditation Center, we offer a soothing natural hot spring pool. Guests will have the opportunity to take a dip, de-stress, and unwind.
To foster a clean, pure and organized mind our accommodations are designed with a minimalist approach. However, we have left no stone unturned when it comes to making your stay comfortable and warm. The simplistic environment enhances a tranquil and relaxing experience.
You can also relax and dip into our natural hot spring pool. We have both the hot as well as cool pool.
NOTE: Male and Female live in separate cottages/rooms with the bathrooms inside and the water in the taps is from the natural hot spring.
In today’s world of fast food and instant noodles take time to cleanse your body alongside your mind and soul. Enjoy fresh and delicious locally produced goods. You will have a variety of nutrient rich food that is locally produced and toxic free. Some of the produces are even organically grown within the premises of the retreat center itself.
Most of the meals are non-vegetarian and will feature a wide array of dishes containing fish, meat and eggs. If you’re a vegetarian, please make sure to bring some dried vegetarian foods and inform us beforehand. Similarly, if you have specific dietary requirements specific to certain illness or health conditions, please let us know at least 7 days prior to your arrival so we can make necessary arrangements.
During the course of the retreat, we will follow the simple Buddhist monastic lifestyle and will not have dinner. There will be two meals per day. This dietary practice helps meditators get the right amount of energy and compliments the meditation practice.
